With the growing demand for reliable and secure industrial wireless solutions, ATOP is pleased to announce that the AW5601 Industrial Wireless Access Point has officially obtained CE-RED (Radio Equipment Directive 2014/53/EU)  (EN 18031) certification.

This internationally recognized compliance mark is essential for distributing the AW5601 in the European market. More than merely meeting the European Union (EU) legal framework during product design and manufacturing, it confirms that the AW5601 has been rigorously developed, tested, and verified to fully comply with all key requirements under the directive—covering health, safety, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), and efficient use of the radio spectrum.

• Ensuring User Safety and Health: The certification validates that the product’s electromagnetic output and design pose no hazard to users.
• Optimizing Spectrum Efficiency: It ensures the AW5601 effectively utilizes the radio spectrum, preventing harmful interference with other wireless services.
• Passport to the Single Market: It provides customers with confidence that the AW5601 can be legally and seamlessly deployed across all EU and European Economic Area (EEA) member states.

In addition, the AW5601 demonstrates proactive compliance with the EN 18031-1 standard, harmonized under RED Article 3.3, addressing network resilience. This ensures the device can:

• Operate reliably without disrupting network services
• Avoid causing any adverse impact on the communication network

*Note: EN 18031-2 is not applicable to AW5601, as the device does not involve any collection, processing, or storage of user or subscriber data.
